Neal Cohen is the Director of Privacy at Onfido, a machine learning powered identity verification company that seeks to make the world’s services more accessible through identity.  At the Carr Center, Neal will continue his research on the legal and ethical challenges of building and using artificial intelligence for identity verification.  Neal is also a non-resident fellow at Stanford Law School's Center for Internet & Society and is a former research fellow at Harvard's Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society where his research focused on the global convergence of data protection and privacy laws.  Previously, Neal practiced law in the technology and privacy groups at Perkins Coie (US) and White and Case (UK).  Neal also clerked in the Privacy Office at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security."
