Malika Noor Mehta is a Masters in Public Policy student at the Harvard Kennedy School. Her interests lie at the cross-section of education, women’s empowerment and migration. She spent the summer of 2016 between Washington, DC and Amman, Jordan. In DC, she interned at Free the Slaves, an anti-trafficking organization that combats bonded labor, indentured servitude and sex-trafficking. In Amman, she interned with the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development where she worked on education and women’s empowerment initiatives for Syrian refugees and disadvantaged Jordanian youth. Before HKS, Malika was a Teach for India fellow in Mumbai where she taught 3rdand 4th grade students. She has previously worked at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York City and Ernst and Young in Mumbai.
