The Carr Center is excited to announce the continuation of its Speaker Series: The Fierce Urgency of Now: Human Rights in 2018. The series will be faciliated by Professor Mathias Risse.

At the 1963 March on Washington, Martin Luther King, Jr spoke of “the fierce urgency of now,” the need for immediate, “vigorous and positive action” on civil rights. This year, the Carr Center will host a series of talks that will examine the current state of human rights in the country, and worldwide. Please see our calendar for all upcoming dates and times.

In the next talk of the series, Steven Livingston will give a talk titled, "Information Technology and the Struggle between Transparency and Disinformation: How Some of the Same Technologies that Enable Investigations Also Undermine Their Credibility."
