 ctor of the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy and Lucius N. Littauer Pro
 fessor of Philosophy and Public Administration. Drawing inspiration from t
 he title of Max Tegmark’s book\,&nbsp\;Life 3.0: Being Human in the Age of
 &nbsp\;Artificial Intelligence\, the&nbsp\;series draws upon a range of sc
 holars\, technology leaders\, and public interest technologists to&nbsp\;a
 ddress the ethical aspects of the long-term impact of artificial intellige
 nce on society&nbsp\;and human life.\n\n\n\n	Held on select Monday evenings
 &nbsp\;at 5:30 – 6:45 in Wexner 102\, and ocassionally on other weekdays\,
 &nbsp\;the series will also be shared on Facebook Live and on the Carr Cen
 ter website. A light dinner will be served.\n\n\n\n	Nicco Mele\, Director o
 f the Shorenstein Center on Media\, Politics\, and Public Policy&nbsp\; \,
  will give a talk titled\, 'Human Rights in a Digital Age.'\n\n\n\n	Nicco M
 ele&nbsp\;is the director of the Shorenstein Center on Media\, Politics an
 d Public Policy. He took over leadership of the Center in 2016 after servi
 ng as&nbsp\;Senior Vice President and Deputy Publisher of the&nbsp\;Los An
 geles Times&nbsp\;and as the&nbsp\;Wallis Annenberg Chair in Journalism at
  the University of Southern California.&nbsp\;He is the author of&nbsp\;Th
 e End of Big: How The Internet Makes David the New Goliath&nbsp\;and co-fo
 under of EchoDitto (now Echo &amp\; Co.)\, a leading internet strategy and
  consulting firm. Mele also&nbsp\;is a board member of the Nieman Foundati
 on for Journalism at Harvard and a Senior Fellow at the&nbsp\;USC Annenber
 g Center on Communication Leadership &amp\; Policy.\n\n
