 aw and Co-chair of the Hungarian Helsinki Committee (HHC)\, a human rights
  NGO focusing on – among others – access to justice\, defence rights and t
 orture prevention. He&nbsp\; is currently an HKS Mason Fellow.\n\n\n\n	Besi
 des providing representation before domestic and international forums\, in
 cluding the European Court of Human Rights\, he has been participating for
  the HHC’s various projects in these areas\, including regular detention m
 onitoring.\n\n\n\n	Between 2008 and 2014 he was a member of the Independent
  Police Complaints Board\, a civilian oversight body elected by and operat
 ing under the Hungarian Parliament.\n\n\n\n	&nbsp\;\n\n\n\n	Miklós Lévay is 
 Chair and&nbsp\; Professor of Criminology and Criminal Law at the Departme
 nt of&nbsp\; Criminology Faculty of Law at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE)
 \, Budapest\, Hungary.\n\n\n\n	Professor Lévay has been the Chairperson of 
 the Advisory Board of the UN European Crime Prevention Institute (HEUNI). 
 Professor Lévay served as a Justice of the Constitutional Court of Hungary
  between 2007-2016.&nbsp\; Professor Lévay has been a Fulbright Visiting S
 cholar at the Northeastern University School of Criminology and Criminal J
 ustice\, Boston\, MA from February 2018 up to July 2018.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbs
