 nsod Room (L-324)\n	\n\n\n\n	The first session will feature a talk by Dr. Ju
 ng-Hoon Lee\, “North Korean Human Rights: Where are we Now?” Dr. Lee's bio
  is below:\n\n\n\n	Jung-Hoon Lee is formerly ROK government’s Inaugural Amb
 assador for North Korean Human Rights.&nbsp\; Prior to this appointment\, 
 he served for three years as Ambassador for Human Rights. As professor of 
 international relations at Yonsei University\, he founded the Yonsei Cente
 r for Human Liberty\, which has played an active role in raising awareness
  of North Korean human rights violations. The Center currently serves as t
 he headquarter for the Sages Group on North Korean Human Rights. Over the 
 years\, Ambassador Lee has advised South Korea’s National Unification Advi
 sory Council\, Ministry of Unification\, Ministry of Foreign Affairs\, NSC
  at the Blue House\, National Assembly\, and many other government agencie
 s and civic organizations. In the case of MOU\, he chaired the Advisory Co
 mmittee for Humanitarian Affairs. Other main commitments include his role 
 as Chairman of SaveNK\, an NGO that helps the defector community\, Senior 
 Advisor to the Future Korea Weekly\, a current affairs magazine based on C
 hristian and liberal-democratic values\, and Vice-Chair of the Supporter’s
  Group for the ‘House of Sharing’ where several remaining “comfort women” 
 are housed. He has also recently joined the Board of the HRNK as its first
  international member. His contributions of over a hundred op-ed articles 
 have been compiled into a book published in 2017 – Tongbukah Kyŏkrang ui H
 anbokpanesŏ [In the Midst of a Northeast Asian Current]. He received his B
 A from Tufts University\, MALD from the Fletcher School of Law &amp\; Dipl
 omacy\, and D.Phil. from the University of Oxford (St. Antony’s College).
