DESCRIPTION:\n	On April 4\, the Pollak Lecture Series will feature a lecture
  by Provost Richard Locke of Brown University. Richard M. Locke is provost
  and Schreiber Family Professor of Political Science and Public and Intern
 ational Affairs at Brown University. Before joining Brown in 2014 as the d
 irector of the Watson Institution for International and Public Affairs\, h
 e had been a member of the MIT faculty of 25 years\, including serving as 
 chair of the Political Science Department and deputy dean in the Sloan Sch
 ool of Management. Locke’s scholarship focuses on international labor rela
 tions and worker rights\, comparative political economy\, and corporate re
 sponsibility. He has published five books and numerous articles on economi
 c development\, labor relations\, and corporate responsibility. He is a me
 mber of the Council on Foreign Relations\, and in September 2016\, the Soc
 iety for Progress awarded Locke with an inaugural Progress Medal for Schol
 arship and Leadership on Fairness and Well-being.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;\n\n
 \n\n	The lecture will be introduced by Marshall Ganz\, HKS Senior Lecturer 
 in Public Policy.&nbsp\; The lecture is sponsored by Ash Center\, Carr Cen
 ter\, Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business &amp\; Government\, and Wiener 
 Center.\n\n
